Tech Plan Creator Help
Kellogg & Sovereign® Consulting, LLC developed the Tech Plan Creator© to assist our client school districts and libraries in meeting state and federal technology planning requirements.
The first version of your plan which has to meet all E-Rate requirements is due prior to filing your Form 470 for the funding year. You will need to update your technology plan for 2014-15 in Fall, 2013. Remember that beginning with E-Rate FY 2011-12, E-Rate only requires technology plans for priority two services (Internal Connections and Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections). HOWEVER, your state department of education or department of libraries will require technology plans in order for you to participate in local, state, and federal grants.
For E-Rate purposes, your final plan must be submitted for approval by a USAC-certified Technology Plan approver prior to the start of services (July 1) of the funding year. For your E-Rate 2014-15 application, your plan (2014-17) must be submitted in Spring, 2014 and approved by July 1, 2014.
